Zach Sanford - 2013 Draft Watch

Central Scouting lists Sanford at 6-foot-3, 170-pounds, a good 20 pounds less than the team website .. sports very good skill to go along with his size .. coming right out of high school to the EJHL has helped make his decision making faster .. however, the lack of production was to be expected, but maybe not to this extent .. went the first seven games without a point and has gone pointless in 14 of his 26 games this season .. has amassed his 19 points over the remaining 12 games (nine of which have come in his last seven games) .. as the season has progressed, he has looked more comfortable .. skating can always improve and he has the hands to make him successful at the next level .. his determination and physical toughness have come in to question this season .. tends to stay on the periphery in the offensive zone .. is rarely first to a loose puck, and too often gets knocked off the puck by smaller defenders .. must add muscle to his body and some sandpaper to his game if he wants his skill set to stand out .. a late round pick in this year's draft.
