WHL: Wascally Wabbit

Joe Barnes, C, Saskatoon, (2004)
Starter .. plays in every situation including power play and penalty killing .. takes his man on the face off .. conscientious defensively .. takes his man in the defensive zone .. comes all the way back to support the defense .. explosive top end speed and acceleration .. planted himself in the crease and took a lot of punishment on the power play.

Evan Haw, D, Saskatoon, (2004)
Good closing speed .. ties up his man behind the net .. took himself out of the play defending a two-on-one by committing too early to trying to block the shooter who then passed it to the wide open man for a scoring chance .. aggressive penalty killer.
Russel Monette, G, Saskatoon, (2004)
Excellent glove hand save on a shot labeled for the top corner…very active .. gets across the crease quickly .. amazing athleticism .. made a terrific save coming across .. swallows up most shots, allowing few rebounds .. elite reflexes and makes quick adjustments on deflections .. has to improve on shots to the five hole.
Marcus Paulsson, LW, Saskatoon, (NYI)
Starter .. played on PK .. slick stickhandler .. played the point on the power play .. excellent head man pass, crisp and on the tape .. cuts down passing lanes .. excellent quickness and overall speed ..heavy wrist shot .. goes in to high traffic areas.
Rob Woods, D, Saskatoon, (2004)
Wears an A .. plays the right point .. strong on his skates .. good skater .. takes the open man in the Blades' end .. communicates with his defensive partner .. moves the puck effectively .. plays a smart composed style .. very alert, doesn't get caught watching the play .. keeps his slap shot hard and low .. took a roughing PIM .. very dependable .. must be more careful to not get his shots blocked from the point .. heavy wrist shot .. played on both special teams.
Wacey Rabbit, C, Saskatoon, (2005)
Starter .. very agile and speedy center .. keeps his feet moving .. uses his body, but is too slight to do much damage .. got smoked by an open ice hit .. pretty strong on his skates .. a player to keep an eye on for the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
Jake Riddle, LW, Saskatoon, (FA)
Has since been traded to Lethbridge .. played on the power play .. good forechecker .. not an overly quick player, but his skating isn't a hindrance either .. dishes the puck off at the right times .. very solid on his skates .. reasonably physical.
Ryan Keller, RW, Saskatoon, (2004)
Wears an A .. on both special teams .. terrific hand-eye coordination .. looks for the open man.
Bjorn Svensson, RW, Saskatoon, (2004)
Tries to be physical, but needs to get stronger to have more success in that area .. good quickness and initial burst, however, seems to lack elite top end speed .. works hard.
