WHL: Setoguchi Hands

Supports the puckcarrier .. beneficiary of a turnover in the slot and was able to protect the puck well enough to draw a penalty as he tried to drive to the net .. uses his teammates well .. usually displays very good hockey sense and vision, however, sometimes tries to force a pass through traffic .. has a hard slap shot .. used terrific mobility to elude the pressure from a hard charging forechecker .. stickhandles well in tight spaces .. went for a hit and barely got any part of the player .. was unable to lead a breakout as he failed to move the puck quickly enough and had it stripped off his stick .. poised stickhandler with a fairly high panic threshold .. would like to see more urgency from him at times, especially without the puck .. lost position on his man and allowed the player to get to the net .. uses his stick to close passing lanes .. strong on his stick and fends off the checker well.

Kenndal McArdle (2005), LW, Moose Jaw

Wacey RabbitClick Has the overall speed and strength to slip by a defender on the outside .. gets good pressure on the forecheck .. hits with authority and opposition defensemen have a tendency to hear footsteps when he's around .. comes back to support the defense .. solid on his skates and will take or give a hit to make a play .. never shies away from traffic .. has surprisingly quick feet and mobility .. not hesitant in getting his hands dirty and playing the body and doing the little things necessary to be successful. A fan favorite partly due to one of the coolest names in hockey .. very mobile and displays good puckpursuit .. has some difficulty fighting off checkers in traffic .. takes the pass at top speed without breaking stride .. had a glorious chance in front, but blasted a wicked slap shot over the net .. failed to pickup the trailing forward in time and allowed the player to get behind him and drive to the net and bang in a pass .. works hard on the cycle and is fairly effective in the corners due to his quick feet and hands .. nimble hands in traffic.

Devin Setoguchi (2005), RW, Saskatoon

Made a number of solid hits behind the net while on the forecheck, which led to some turnovers .. dished over a superb saucer pass to a wide open linemate .. snapped a laser-like shot that the goalie just got a piece of .. delivered a decimating hit on the forecheck .. excellent work holding off a checker .. got in a scoring position and deflected a puck just under the pads of the goalie .. split the defense by keeping his feet moving and drew a penalty .. briefly lost possession of the puck, but worked tenaciously and was immediately able to regain it .. terrific hands in traffic .. uses his amazing mobility and blazing top gear to get in on the forecheck and rarely isn't successful on at least getting a piece of the player.
