Adam Hughesman (2009), LW, Tri-City
Chosen in the second round (28th overall) by the Americans in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft .. boasts a shot that really takes off from the blade .. comes around the outside quickly .. sports splendid acceleration and a smooth skating stride, yet lacks the game breaking speed to back off checkers .. supports the puck well and gets in position to do something with it when he gets it .. showcases good vision offensively has some difficulty beating a checkers one-on-one .. gets knocked off the puck a bit too easily .. picks up his man defensively, but is far from a defensive stalwart .. prone to low percentage passes that lead directly to turnovers .. will park himself in front on the powerplay .. plays on a line centered by Kruise Reddick and Taylor Procyshen. (25gp, 9-9-18)
Jordan Messier (2010), RW, Tri-City
The Americans picked him in the second round (40th overall) of the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft .. sports a nasty wrist shot that he can elevate quickly .. already is quite strong on his skates .. does a nice job closing the gap on the puckcarrier .. is quick to jump on loose pucks .. doesn't dish out the most accurate of passes, although does show improvement .. can look a bit stiff going side-to-side, however possesses pretty good straight ahead speed .. one of the few forwards on the team that is over six feet tall (6-foot-2, 190-pounds) .. needs to learn to protect himself better from dangerous hits and not take as many needless heavy hits as he does .. played on a line with Justin Feser and Johnny Lazo. (23gp, 2-6-8)
Lane Werbowski (2009), D, Tri-City
Thinly built blueliner was chosen by the Americans in the 6th round (113th overall) of the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft .. boasts the ability to carry the puck out of his zone and elude the first checker .. will join the rush when given the opportunity .. moves the puck well, including delivering crisp, headman passes .. saw some time very late on the penalty-kill, but isn't a regular on it .. loves to jump up to dish out a heavy hit, which can take himself out of position .. appears a tad slow to react to the play as it develops in the defensive zone .. will pinch in from the point without the puck .. partnered with Mitch McColm. (20gp, 1-4-5)
