WHL Player of the Week - Alex Leavitt

Calgary - The Greyhound WHL Player of the Week is rookie forward Alex Leavitt of the Swift Current Broncos. Leavitt earned player of the week honours by recording three goals and eight points in four games during the week of October 14th to October 19th. Leavitt helped lead the Broncos to two wins and two ties for the week.
On Wednesday, October 15th, Leavitt recorded an assist in a 3-3 tie with the visiting Tri-City Americans. On Friday, October 17th, Leavitt scored a goal and added an assist in a 3-3 tie against the Rebels in Red Deer.

On Saturday, October 18th, Leavitt recorded a goal and two assists in a 5-4 victory over the Hurricanes in Lethbridge. On Sunday, October 19th, Leavitt scored a goal and added an assist in a 4-3 win versus the Hitmen in Calgary.
Leavitt, a 19-year-old from Edmonton, Alberta, is eligible for the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
Honorable mention goes to Dustin Slade of the Kamloops Blazers.
