WHL: Oy Vey!

Matthew Konan (2009), D, Medicine Hat
Is 197th in Central Scoutings midterm rankings .. boasts a nice size frame at 6-foot-2, 180-pounds and should be able to add some muscle .. pretty effective at making the short, first pass to his defensive partner or head-manning the puck to a forward .. needs to use his size more effectively and make the opposition pay a steeper price in the scoring areas .. should be more careful about not losing position near the Tigers' goal .. doesn't possess the quickest feet around, so he'll have to read the play quicker or he'll be caught flat-footed .. being brought along slowly by the coaches and sees no time on either special teams .. displayed some chemistry partnered with Cody Carlson .. once played for the Los Angeles Selects AAA Midgets. (45gp, 1-7-8)

Linden Vey (2009), RW, Medicine Hat
Is 108th in Central Scouting midterm rankings .. imaginative puck mover and stickhandler .. sports a good release .. puts the pass through traffic and on the tape .. works hard without the puck .. will come back to cover for a pinching d-man .. uses his linemates well .. a regular on the powerplay .. stickhandles at top speed and can turn on a dime and generally drives the net with determination .. closes down time and space on the puckcarrier .. possesses an active stick which he uses to create loose pucks .. communicates well and displays nice vision .. reads the play and usually finds himself in good position .. needs to get stronger, especially on the puck .. decent jump out of the blocks, but needs to improve his overall skating skill to move to the next level .. chosen 42nd overall by the Tigers in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft .. won a bronze medal at the 2008 World U-17 Championships .. centered the top line of Tyler Ennis and Bretton Cameron. (54gp, 17-35-52)
Tristan King (2009), C, Medicine Hat
Should give his teammates someone to pass to and not get caught too far up the ice .. can be a bit slow to react to the play .. does a decent using his mobility to close the gap on the forecheck, but rarely arrives in ill will .. boasts pretty good jump out of the gates .. can deliver a crisp, tape-to-tape pass to get the puck up to a teammate .. tends to wander without the puck .. takes a hit to make a play, but is not a physical player .. at his best when he keeps his feet moving, unfortunately he does a bit too much watching the play .. he sports a surprisingly long reach for a player listed at 6-foot-0, 185-pounds .. not a fighter as he proved losing in unimpressive fashion to the Vancouver Giants' James Henry .. played two seasons with the Portland Winter Hawks .. played right wing on a line with Colton Grant and Sean Ringrose.
