WHL: On The Button

Ryan Button (2009), D, Prince Albert
Looks very quick, with good mobility .. gives and takes the pass smoothly .. blessed with a slap shot that has some bite .. has the speed to take the puck up the ice .. not always on target with his passes .. partners with Zak Stebner even on the powerplay .. wears an A .. needs to improve his strength as he can be outmuscled in the dirty areas .. does a nice job reading the play in the defensive zone .. excellent jump out of the blocks and a threat to join the rush .. will pinch in from the point .. sports the speed to beat more than just the first checker .. still learning how to make plays when he gets in the scoring areas .. uses his elite wheels to stay with his man one-on-one .. good hand-eye coordination .. closes the gaps quickly on the puckcarrier and rarely gets caught flatfooted .. plays on the penalty-killing unit. (11gp, 1-4-5)

Ryan Harrison (2010), C, Prince Albert
The Raiders expected big things out of Ryan Harrison and Ryan Aasman next season, however Harrison is already producing well .. gets a nice burst out of the gates .. skates hard to the net without the puck .. takes the body well in open ice .. boasts some sandpaper to his game .. solid looking skater that is a tad height challenged at 5-foot-10, although to be fair he has time to grow .. looks for his linemates .. powerful skater that can separate the puckcarrier hand-eye coordination .. has a knack for getting open .. centered a line of Dustin Cameron and Justin Bernhardt .. doesn't look of place, but also is not ready quite yet to be a gamebreaker. (11gp, 3-4-7)
Brandon Herrod (2009), RW, Prince Albert
Moves well with or without the puck .. can make a sharp cut to get in quickly on a transition .. boasts very good top end speed and shows nice anticipation on when to go to the net ..uses his speed and mobility to pressure the puckcarrier on the forecheck .. uses his stick and agility to close down passing/shooting lanes .. sometimes misreads where he should be and puts himself out of position .. not all that dangerous with the puck .. works hard to create turnovers .. looked decent on a line with James Dobrowolski and Andy Smith .. is a regular on the penalty kill. (11gp, 1-4-5)
