The native of Oberageri, Switzerland is 6-foot-1, 175-pounds .. partners with Ben Wright .. makes a crisp, first pass .. boasts very good feet, as he especially gets a nice burst out of the gates .. displays poise with the puck and generally won't bolt head on in to traffic if he can back off and settle the play down .. plays on both special teams .. will take a hit to make a play .. makes smart effective passes to reduce pressure in his own zone .. closes down time and space on puckcarrier, although is still prone to being beaten on the outside by speedier forwards .. doesn't panic when pressured on the forecheck .. has the wherewithal to elude the first checker and either carry or rush the puck out of his zone .. showcases nice vision .. must be wary about not getting caught up the ice when he pinches .. usually makes the correct defensive read .. does a solid job winning battles in traffic .. need to do more to get his point shot through from the point, because he simply has too many blocked .. won't hesitate to shoot, but has yet to prove he can be dangerous .. has good hand-eye coordination. Craig Orfino (2008), RW, Lethbridge
Will take the puck from behind the net and to the scoring area .. will deliver bone crunching hits when he gets the opportunity .. plays on a line with Dan Iwanski and Cam Braes .. starting to show he has a nose for the net, although he has yet to prove he has any finish as he remains goalless in 28 games .. lacks power in his stride and must work on improving it and until that happens he won't be seen as a legitimate prospect .. has just enough speed and mobility to cut down time and space on the pointman. (28gp, 0-3-3)
Zach Boychuk (2008), C, Lethbridge
Pint-size pivot is 5-foot-9 and 175-pounds .. comes back hard on the backcheck .. wears an A .. a regular on the number one powerplay unit .. so mobile and quick with the puck that he forces opponents to often take a penalty .. boasts very good vision and will usually find the open man .. has the ability to dangle with the puck at full speed, although will occasionally mishandle it without pressure .. showing some improvement in his compete level in the defensive zone .. at his best when he moves his feet .. very shifty in close quarters making him always dangerous .. still could work on his strength on the puck as he can get separated from the puck with a solid hit .. plays on the number top line with Mitch Fradden and Colton Sceviour .. uses his teammates well .. has the ability to thread the needle with a seeing eye pass. (30gp, 15-17-32)
Cam Braes (2009), C, Lethbridge
Centers a line featuring Craig Orfino and Dan Iwanski .. dishes crisp, clean short passes .. not hesitant to battle in traffic areas, yet doesn't have a ton of success .. must be alert about not turning away when the puck enters the scoring area .. hasn't shown much willingness to hit with any authority, which probably isn't a shock given his 155-pounds .. boasts some jump out of the blocks and once he gets bigger and stronger he should be able to use his speed to beat a defender on the outside .. generally moves the puck well, especially when he has time and space. (28gp, 7-3-10)
Dan Iwanski (2008), , Lethbridge
Plays on a line with Cam Braes and Craig Orfino .. tends to appear a bit slow out of the gates .. will take the body, but would like to see more power in his hits .. aware enough defensively to be on the ice protecting a few goal lead late in the game .. goes to the net and will park himself in front on the powerplay .. shows some strength on the puck and has the ability to hold off a checker in the dirty areas .. sees time on the powerplay .. displays good puck pursuit. (29gp, 2-5-7)
