WHL: Marshall Dillon

Calvin Pickard (2010), G, Seattle
Chosen by the Thunderbirds in second round (38th overall) in the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft .. 6-foot-1, 210-pound frame .. quite athletic, as he is able to react quickly to a redirected shot .. can be a bit shaky with his rebound control .. is pretty good setting up and being square for the first shot, but gets himself out of position for the second shot by sometimes over playing the initial shot .. at his best when he makes a big target and uses his large 6-foot-1, 210-pound frame .. can be guilty of losing his concentration at times. Brenden Dillon (2009), D, Seattle
Partnered with Stefan Warg .. makes the cross ice pass to his teammate smoothly, effectively moves the puck under pressure .. supports the puckcarrier well .. sports good hand-eye coordination .. does a nice job standing the opposition up at the blueline .. can drive a hard, low slap shot through traffic and on target .. dishes out a crisp, accurate breakout pass while on the move .. brandishes a hard, low slap shot through traffic and on target .. communicates with his teammates .. an elegant skater with good feet and surprising overall quickness .. still could add some strength, but that should come in time as he physically matures .. must be tougher on opponents in the scoring area .. generally makes the high percentage play when pressured .. gets his passes through traffic.

Sena Acolatse (2009), D, Seattle
Selected by the Thunderbirds in the fourth round (76th overall) of the 2005 WHL Bantam Draft .. wide-bodied defender boasts a 5-foot-11, 220-pound frame and is strong on his skates .. partnered with Jeremy Schappert .. looks fairly poised with the puck, in fact often appears too relaxed and not playing with enough urgency .. a tad slow to react to a sudden offensive chance by the opposition .. will pinch in from the point, especially when his team is looking for a goal .. showcases a powerful slap shot and a heavy wrist shot, but is sometimes slow to get them away .. plays on both special teams .. needs to be more proactive in his own zone and read the potential hazards quicker .. sports the ability to overpower a goalie with one of his aforementioned shots from the point, however seems to lack much imagination and tends to telegraph that he plans to wind up and fire .. his point shot is dangerous when he keeps it low and deflectable .. plays the one-on-one well as long as he keeps his feet moving .. joins the rush when needed .. there is some talent here, but he remains a project. Jeremy Boyer (2009), RW, Seattle
Taken by Seattle in the second round (36th overall) of the 2005 WHL Bantam Draft .. must add significant weight as he has trouble staying on the puck in traffic - which isn't a surprising given that he "boasts" only a 5-foot-11, 152-pound frame .. played on an energy line with Chris Cloud and centered by Brenden Silvester .. he rarely separates the puckcarrier from the puck when he uses the body .. puts pressure while on the forecheck with fine mobility and acceleration .. saw some time on the penalty kill .. gets in the scoring areas, although is far from an elite finisher .. is a decent third liner at the WHL level and it can't be stressed enough that until he fills out his draft prospects remain limited. Jonathan Parker (2010), C/RW, Seattle
Acquired from the Vancouver Giants .. appeared comfortable on the number one line (Prab Rai and Jim O'Brien) as well as the top powerplay unit .. boasts splendid acceleration and stickhandling ability .. moves the puck with imagination and touch .. puts pressure while on the forecheck thanks to very good puck pursuit .. dangerous in the scoring area and doesn't hesitate to go in to traffic and even parks himself in front .. sports excellent hand-eye coordination .. had a horrible start to the season as he registered only a single point in his first 11 games .. an interesting prospect for the 2010 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
