Quick skater, with a good first step .. conscientious defensively .. tends not to be able to hold on to the puck very long .. has a heavy slap shot.
Richard Jasovsky, 9, LW, (2004)
Slovak forward in his second year in the WHL .. good wrist shot .. on PK .. excellent top end speed .. very mobile .. solid on his skates.
Stephane Lenoski, 34, D, (2004)
Got on late during a PP .. killed penalties .. moves the puck quickly in the offensive zone .. very mobile even while carrying the puck .. uses his body effectively .. shouldn’t hang on to the puck to long in his own zone.
Teegan Moore, 15, C, (2004)
Agile skater .. finishes his checks .. takes his man .. forechecks hard .. cuts down passing lanes .. on penalty kill .. doesn’t have much offensive talent, but his work ethic is second to none.
Jeff Topilko, 28, C, (2004)
Played on the power play .. takes the pass cleanly .. needs to work harder on the back check .. doesn’t show much offensive imagination.
Derek Werenka, 14, LW, (2004)
Wicked wrist shot .. a mediocre skater with a poor first step and lacks mobility .. will take a hit to make a play .. gets caught watching the play in his own end.
Ole-Kristian Tollefsen, 27, D, (CBJ)
Starter .. assistant captain .. on both specialty teams .. uses the boards effectively to clear the zone .. moves the puck smartly .. solid on his skates .. has overall speed to carry the puck out of his zone .. supports his defensive partner.
Rick Kozak, 21, RW, (PHI)
Heavy slap shot .. assistant captain .. finishes his checks .. takes his man in the defensive zone .. good skater and reasonably mobile .. generally finds the open man .. works hard on the forechecks .. communicates with his linemates .. willing to take some punishment in front of the net.
Lance Monych, 18, RW, (PHX)
Displays a passive approach while killing penalties .. on the power play .. good skater, but mediocre first step .. played with more aggression late in the PK .. dangerous slap shot, especially when he keeps it low.
Ryan Stone, 17, C, (PIT)
Starter .. took the other center on the faceoff .. captain .. is a talented playmaker and looks for the open man .. comes back into his zone and takes his man .. finishes his checks .. solid on his skates .. not afraid to go to the net, in fact he scored a garbage goal while in the crease .. on both the PK and PP .. plays with a bit of an edge .. great vision and talented passer .. shows leadership on the ice .. good hand-eye coordination..
Eric Fehr, 16, RW, (WSH)
Starter.. on PK/PP .. protects the puck .. sturdy skater .. finishes his checks and is reasonably effective at playing the body .. has the top end speed to stretch a defense .. backchecks .. can rag the puck and kill time on the penalty kill .. got a breakaway after stripping the puck from the opposition and went in on a breakaway and deked the goalie out of his jock for a shorthanded goal.
Tim Konsorada, 19, RW, (CBJ)
Scratched due to injury (had surgery in September and will miss a minimum of four months).
Mike Nichol, 1, G, (2004)
