Accepts a pass well .. speedy forward .. keeps the puck in the offensive zone.
Dale Mahovsky (2004), C, Kootenay
Drilled a fabulous shot top corner for a goal .. a bit passive on the PK .. smart player – displays awareness in all zones .. excellent skater .. cuts off passing lanes .. on PP.
Adam Taylor (CAR), C, Kootenay
Starter .. wears an A .. takes the center after a faceoff .. quick skater and mobile .. adept in the faceoff circle .. displays excellent hand-eye coordination .. not fancy, but plays a real intelligent game .. good closing speed on the puck carrier .. on PP and PK.
Nigel Dawes (NYR), LW, Kootenay
Starter .. wears a C .. turned over the puck on a lazy pass .. has the speed to beat a defender to the outside .. backchecks .. made a long pass right on the tape of a rushing forward .. drew a penalty by driving hard to the net with a player draped all over him .. strong on his skates .. willing to take some punishment in the crease .. likes to shoot the puck and has an elusive wrist shot .. great vision and terrific playmaking abilities .. on both special team units.
Josef Vavra (OTT), LW, Kootenay
On very late killing a PIM .. aggressive forechecker .. takes and gives a pass equally well .. quick skater.
Aaron Bader (2004), LW, Kootenay
Starter .. acquired in a trade with Brad Cole from the Seattle Thunderbirds for goaltender Bryan Bridges .. feisty, takes a hit to make a play .. does the work in the corners necessary to get loose pucks .. goes to high traffic areas .. shields the puck from checkers with his body .. very quick and has the top end speed to beat the D wide .. keeps his feet moving .. on PP.
Mike Boxma (2004), RW, Kootenay
Throws his body around fairly effective .. good skater .. didn’t get much ice time.
Josh Fauth (2004), D, Kootenay
On PK .. stay at home defenseman that plays a physical brand of hockey .. a willing fighter (lost the fight) and fairly strong .. composed.
Jeff Glass (2004), G, Kootenay
Started in net .. plays his angles .. little weak covering up his rebounds .. agile .. comes across the crease without exposing too many holes .. on a breakaway, kept his position and left the shooter nothing to shoot at .. made a number of quality saves on scoring chances right on the doorstep .. quick feet .. hard to beat on the short side.
Donny Lloyd (2004), D, Kootenay
Moves the puck effectively to his defensive partner .. communicates on the ice .. uses his body to take out the opposition along the wall .. plays very physical for his size .. needs to add some muscle .. took an undisciplined PIM .. has a hard shot, but not very dangerous due to lack of accuracy .. on PK.
Jeremy Schenderling (2004), C, Kootenay
Fast and is hard to knock down .. quick first step .. conscientious backchecker .. has a heavy wrist shot.
