WHL: Buffalo Bill Cody

Justin Dowling (2009), C, Swift Current
Centered a line of Matt Tassone and Keegan Dansereau .. sports an impressive wrist shot .. uses his soft hands for moving the puck to an open linemate .. changes direction in an instance .. joins the rush .. gets a regular time on the powerplay and also saw a bit of time late on a penalty-kill .. must do a better job of closing the gap of his man in the Broncos' zone .. supports the puck well .. takes the pass at full speed and without breaking stride .. although not very large at 5-foot-10, 180-pounds he needs to get more physically involved. Jordan Peddle (2009), C, Swift Current
Played on a line with Cody Eakin and Brad Hoban .. not a blazing stickhandler, but can beat the first checker .. comes back on defence .. isn't very strong on his skates or quick enough to make up for it .. plays on the powerplay .. add his deficits to his small 5-foot-9, 175-pound frame and Peddle isn't going to hear his name called in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Cody Eakin (2009), C, Swift Current
Centered a line of Jordan Peddle and Brad Hoban .. chosen by the Broncos in the first round (6th overall) of the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft .. puck leaves his stick effortlessly .. solid looking skater even though he's only 5-foot-11, 175-pounds .. moves extremely well and is able to change direction in an instant .. uses his stick to take away passing and shooting lanes on the penalty-kill .. has scored three times on the powerplay .. finishes his checks and comes back all the way to help out in the Broncos' end .. does a nice job tying up the opposing center off the draw .. uses his body reasonably well to protect the puck .. has an innate ability to avoid big hits .. boasts good hand-eye coordination .. if he gets a step on a defenceman he generally stays ahead of him. Joel Rogers (2009), D, Swift Current
Is quite good on his feet and comes across nicely to take away time and space of the puckcarriers .. does a nice job keeping the man in front of him one-on-one .. displays defensive awareness and generally won't allow the opposition to slip behind him .. knows how to line up the player at the blueline and dish out a fairly heavy body or hip check .. plays on both special teams .. partnered with youngster Jordan Evans .. chosen by the Broncos in the fourth round (68th overall) of the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft.
