WHL: Broda, No Turk!

Travis Hamonic (2008), D, Moose Jaw
His skating doesn't stand out either negatively or positively .. partners with Brett Ward .. boasts some zip to his wrist shot, however it will never be confused with Joe Sakic's .. headman's the puck crisply and generally on the tape .. does a decent job rubbing out puckcarriers along the wall .. not overly physical, yet will take a hit to make a play .. lacks proper positioning at times and will jump out of position to deliver a hit .. needs to work on moving the shooting lane in order to ensure his point shot makes it to the net .. sees time on the PK. (15gp, 1-4-5)

Chad Suer (2008), D, Moose Jaw
Communicates well with his defensive partner (Ryan Stanton) .. takes the man coming to the net, although would be well advised to add some strength .. does a nice job of boxing out opponents near the crease, yet at times can get caught in no man's land watching the puck .. lacks vision in the Warriors' zone .. is effective at tying up the man along the wall .. must be more aware of the play and players around him .. gets time on both special teams. (15gp, 1-6-7)
Neal Prokop (2008), C, Moose Jaw
Centered a line of Ryley Grantham and Terrance Delaronde .. decent stickhandler at time and once he get going moves reasonably well in a straight line for a big guy .. a bit slow to get out of the blocks and lacks the speed to recover if he gets caught up the ice .. strong along the wall and usually can take most opponents on one-on-one .. is a big body presence in front of the net and is very difficult for defenders to remove from the scoring areas when he chooses to use his size .. will try and carry the puck and does a solid job of using his body to protect the puck, however would be well advised to not try and rush the puck very often .. gets ice time late in close games as well as time on the powerplay. (13gp, 3-1-4)
Joel Broda (2008), C, Moose Jaw
Compact skater with above average mobility and good jets out of the blocks .. centered a line of Tomas Karpov and Brady Calla .. displays some touch in close .. crisp passer that usually finds the open man .. boasts a low center of gravity which generally helps him elude heavy hits along the wall .. generally works hard without the puck .. takes the body and usually finishes his checks .. doesn't showcase an active stick on the PK .. ties up the opposing center well off the draw .. gets quality ice-time in all situations .. kind of player that leaves you wanting more and wishing he would play with a bit more tenacity. (17gp, 8-8-16)
