WHL: Boychuk, Rowley Ennis - Scouting Reports

Zach Boychuk (2008), C, Lethbridge
Above average skater with great speed and agility .. very offensively talented .. unselfish with the puck, as he's just as good a scorer as he is playmaker .. usually keeps his feet moving .. creates plays when there seems to be nowhere to go with the puck .. good stickhandler and passer who creates chances on the rush and makes tape-to-tape passes .. sports a quick release on the fly when set up for the one-timer .. boasts great velocity and accuracy for such a young age .. his 5-foot-9, 176-pound frame is solid .. drives to the net looking for rebounds .. possesses nice hand-eye coordination .. played on the recent WJC Gold Medal winning squad for Canada, although saw his ice time diminish during the latter part of the tournament .. still must work on picking up his check and his overall defensive game. Jordan Rowley (2008), D, Kamloops
6-foot-0, 180-pound blueliner has shown improved defensive awareness as the season's progressed .. is a good skater with nice mobility .. possesses a low, hard shot .. generally makes smart plays from the backend .. although not very physical, he doesn't get beaten very often .. look for him to become a real leader with the Blazers in the next few seasons. (41gp, 1-8-9)
Tyler Ennis (2008), C, Medicine Hat
Tremendous skater who uses every bit of his pint-sized 5-foot-9, 160-pound frame to go in hard on the forecheck .. surprisingly good at both ends of the ice and really makes his presence felt winning big draws .. boasts very good upside .. plays with great emotion and tenacity .. works very hard at all aspects of the game .. arguably one of the best all around players in the Western Hockey League.
