Skilled all-around hockey player who is utilized in all situations .. smooth skating stride with good speed and agility who keeps a low center of gravity when skating .. combination of skating and stickhandling allows him to evade defenders and create offensive chances .. defensively, uses his hockey sense to anticipate plays and intercept passes, block shots, or play the body .. (Fall Classic stats: 3- 0-0-0, 6 shots).
Travis Erstad (StL), RW, Lincoln
Powerful skating stride, but does not have elite speed .. shot power is exceptional, especially his wristshot and snapshot, both of which have a quick release, too .. appears to be working on his defensive game, but he still appears lazy at times in all three zones .. has a good defensive leg drag, especially for a non-defenseman .. able to use height and reach to keep pucks in play .. can play physically, but some of his hits amount to pushing people over .. (Fall Classic stats: 3-1-0-1, 4 PIM's, 7 shots).
Jared Festler (2008), RW, Lincoln
Led Minnesota high school in scoring in 2006-07 with 71 goals and 54 assists in 30 games .. small winger with very good speed, agility, and a nice set of hands .. able to corral difficult passes well and keep the offense going.. has good offensive awareness around the net .. committed to St. Cloud State .. (Fall Classic stats: 3-5-1-6, 8 shots).
Ross Henry (2008), D, Lincoln
Good two-way defenseman .. strong on his skates and has good speed, agility, and quickness .. uses skating and hockey sense to position himself well in defensive battles .. makes accurate outlet passes but can also skate the puck out himself .. has a decent pointshot but also has a good wristshot from the point .. offensive awareness makes him effective in distributing the puck from the point .. hustles to loose pucks to keep the play in the offensive zone or when intercepting passes .. plays with intensity and will stand up for himself and teammates .. struggles a bit in open ice against power forwards crashing the net .. has not committed to a college .. (Fall Classic stats: 3-0-0-0, 12 PIM's, 3 shots).
Tyler Brickler (2009), LW, Lincoln
16-year-old winger with above-average speed and good offensive awareness .. has a hard, crisp wristshot with a quick release .. puts in a good effort on defense and utilizes his speed on the forecheck and backcheck .. at only 160 pounds, he must bulk up to win more physical battles and not be knocked off the puck as easily .. has not committed to a college .. (Fall Classic stats: 3--2-3, 5 shots).
