Racked up 66 points (34-32-66) in 62 games with Compuware last season .. on the smallish side at 5'8"-145lbs. .. takes the pass smoothly through traffic .. has some difficulty beating the check as he isn't overly strong .. could be well advised to improve his acceleration and strength on his skates .. will take the body to finish his checks, however he doesn't have much power behind them .. gets some zip on his wrist shot and it can be fairly lethal .. definitely has some potential given that he has time to grow given that he's not eligible for the NHL Entry Draft until 2007 .. wore #12 .. USA Select 17 totals (6, 2-4-6-0).
Jordan VanGilder (2006), F
Scored 46 point (28-18-46) in 28 games for Centennial High School and coach Erik Aus last season .. displays some imagination with his passing and will use the boards to headman a pass to beat a checker .. boasts a quality wrist shot that can get to the goalie surprisingly quickly .. doesn't seem to posses anything more than average quickness as well as lacking an extra gear, but then out of nowhere he will stickhandle through traffic to gain the zone .. wore #14 .. USA Select 17 totals (6, 0-1-1-0).
Brett Hextall (2006), F
Was selected in the 16th round by the Omaha Lancers of the USHL .. spent last season with Milton Academy .. his father is 13-year NHL veteran Ron Hextall (credit: USA Hockey) .. suffered an injury early in the festival that cut short his stay .. wore #15 .. USA Select 17 totals (6, 0-0-0-0).
Grant Gorczyca (2006), F
Played for coach Scott Sanderson's St. Louis AAA Blues last season and plans to return for the coming year .. blessed with an effortless slap shot that explodes off of his stick .. will finish his checks and on one occasion appeared to accidentally hit an opponent from behind to receive a major penalty and an automatic game misconduct .. used his teammates well on occasion, but is more of a finisher than a playmaker .. wore #16 .. USA Select 17 totals (6, 4-1-5-17).
