Hunter Fejes (2012), F, Shattuck St. Mary's

Shattuck St. Mary's coach Tom Ward loves players like Hunter Fejes, as he's a hard worker that keeps his feet moving at all times .. Fejes plays well in all three zones, putting just as much effort in at defense as he does on offense .. excels at killing penalties, doing a good job cutting off passing lanes and disrupting the flow of the opposing team's offense .. has great acceleration and is very agile .. his speed is often problematic for opposing defenders, as he can really kick it up a gear when need be .. displays awareness and anticipation of the play in front of him .. his hands are average, and his stick work and passing could use some fine-tuning .. overall, he is a bit raw but has the tools and work ethic to succeed.
Zach Stepan (2012), F, Shattuck St. Mary's
Although Zach Stepan may not be as dynamic as his cousin - New York Ranger forward Derek Stepan, he still has a good deal of tools to work with .. Zach is more of a playmaker than a finisher, as he excels at maintaining puck control as the play develops .. buys time in the offensive zone by cycling the puck, using his body to shield off the opposition .. Stepan is not a huge specimen, (6-0, 175), but he uses it well, demonstrating that he will play gritty if needed .. would like to see him have more of a killer instinct around the net and quicken the release on his shot .. too often, Stepan is snake bitten due to a shot being deflected or blocked.
John Draeger (2012), D, Shattuck St. Mary's
Draeger plays full speed at all times, making quick decisions while playing mistake-free defense .. does a good job of keeping opponents to the outside, limiting scoring chances .. has good movements for a player his size, (6-2, 190), but could add some muscle to his lanky frame .. all of his movements while carrying the puck are clean and smart, as he does not hit the panic button every time an opposing player is near .. instead, he keeps his composure, evaluates his options, and then executes his plan of attack .. has a good release on his shot, but would like to see him be more creative in his playmaking, as times, he is too conservative with the puck.
Teddy Blueger (2012), F, Shattuck St. Mary's
After a slow start to the season, Blueger has started to turn it on as of late .. the Riga, Latvia native is establishing himself as one of the go to players on Shattuck's prep team .. Blueger's hockey IQ is off the charts, as he's able to pick apart an opposing defense with precision passing and great vision .. Blueger has a calming demeanor while handling the puck, as he's very patient while evaluating his options .. his ability to protect and control the puck with a man pressuring him separates him from other prospects, as he is very strong on the puck .. Blueger has good hands in tight giving him the ability to finish .. a decent skater but could use more foot speed, although he has showed improvement in this area over the course of the last year .. with his continued development, Blueger should receive more attention as the draft nears, as he's making an argument of being the top Shattuck St. Mary's prospect available for the 2012 draft.
Noah Henry (2012), D, Shattuck St. Mary's
Henry is a good-sized prospect that plays a simple, yet solid defensive game .. keeps his head on a swivel in his own zone observing any possible threats that may develop .. Henry does a good job of tracking his opponent, and limiting their offensive chances .. excels at battling and winning scrums for loose pucks by using his body to gain position, although he could add more physical play to his game .. Henry is an adequate skater but not as agile as other top prospects .. makes some unnecessary movements when in transition, limiting his effectiveness against players with good acceleration .. Henry has demonstrated good puck control but needs to work on his passing, as it has been inconsistent this season.
