The Detroit Little Caesars program is home to several promising 1993-born prospects, including Rocco Grimaldi, whom is rumored to be heading to the Vancouver Giants next season. McKeen's director of scouting Max Giese files these notes on the promising prospects that accompany Grimaldi on the Little Caesars Major and Minor Midget teams.

An average-sized centerman with great skills and smarts .. lacks a separation gear and elite skating ability .. highly intelligent playmaker with great vision and quick hands .. a competitive, hard worker that plays both ends of the ice.
Kacper Guzik (2011), C, Detroit Little Caesars Minor Midget
An enigmatic player that can be dormant for several consecutive shifts, but one that can also be a real beast and will hit to hurt .. his hockey sense is below average and he consistently makes funny decisions both with and without the puck .. plays bored at times .. a goal scorer with a heavy shot, although he needs to activate his feet more and must improve on his passing skills .. his game is best suited for the OHL route.
Jimmy McDowell (2011), D, Detroit Little Caesars Minor Midget
Has good size and can move the puck, but his feet are suspect and he lacks recovery speed .. can't afford to maintain tight gaps because speedy opponents can get around him in the open ice with ease .. overly aggressive pinching and is constantly caught up ice behind the play .. over commits, gets beaten wide, and will get eaten up at the higher levels of play if his skating and decision making don't improve .. completely void of consistency right now and has looked awful in recent viewings.
Zach Badalamenti (2011), C, Detroit Little Caesars Minor Midget
Could be a good player, but he plays without a pulse during most games .. sees the ice well and can also finish with his decent shot, however he still needs to work on his skating and intensify his work-ethic.
Matthew Morris (2011), G, Detroit Little Caesars Minor Midget
Smallish goaltender that is generously listed at 5-foot-10, 190 pounds .. extremely polished in a technical sense and his positioning is near flawless .. economical and doesn't waste any movement .. retains his form during all movements and benefits from a compact butterfly .. finds the middle of his net and tracks the puck well through traffic, but he still needs to challenge the shooter more aggressively at times .. his upside isn't quite as high as Jay Williams or Matt Mahalak, but his technical game is second to none.
