Training Camp Update - Toronto Maple Leafs

Nik Antropov
Very little sign that Antropov will suffer much setback from his second knee surgery
Advertisement
… extremely poised and patient with the puck … threaded some beautiful
passes with ease, setting up linemates frequently … ran the powerplay from
the right side and was thoroughly in control … clearly showed his anticipation
and puck control are as good, if not better than ever … should challenge
for a starting spot with the big club.
Carlo
Colaiacovo
Youngster looked poised and steady … showed very daring moves on the powerplay,
often sneaking into the slot, placing himself in excellent position for a pass
… was hesitant at times in his own end, but overall was quite impressive
… all the talent is there that puts him above most of his teammates.
Todd
Ford
Netminder played the 3rd period and had a night that should give scouts nightmares
… very active in his own crease but often going the wrong way on a shot
… goes down quickly and far too frequently … balance is questionable
... has a long way to go.
Jamie
Hodson
Hold the phone - Hodson has come from literally nowhere to the forefront of
the Leafs goaltending prospects … showed brilliant reflexes in both hands
and feet … makes spectacular saves repeatedly, reminiscent of Curtis Joseph
in his acrobatic style … has been the most solid performer of the Leafs'
young netminders through camp to date with a 2.00 GAA in four games.
