The Dominant Domingue

The Quebec Remparts had one goal in mind this season - to win the Presidents Cup. However, when GM and coach Patrick Roy concluded that he did not have the horses to go all the way, he traded some of his better veterans, including local favorites such as Samuel Groulx and Kelsey Tessier, to rebuild his team for a future run at the Championship. Mckeen's correspondent Rick Springhetti looks at a few Quebec Remparts eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Louis Domingue (2010), G, Quebec

Like many of today's players that play his position, he can be a standup goaltender that can also revert to more of a butterfly style .. when he is patient, he forces the shooter to try and beat him with a perfect shot .. doesn't venture too far away from his net .. handles the puck well .. able to move quick laterally while keeping control of his arms and legs .. positioning is compact and effective .. uses his glove hand well .. can be streaky .. has to learn how to manage adversity better.
Patrick Dore (2010), D, Quebec
Big defenseman that needs to use his size advantage to be effective .. not a quick skater by any means .. first few strides are especially difficult .. laterally, he has trouble with his footwork .. punishing hitter when he has the chance .. clears the front of the net with authority .. manages to keep opposing forwards away from his goaltender .. doesn't bring any offense from the backend .. average velocity on his shots, he should also work on making sure he hits the net more often .. takes penalties when facing quick skaters .. choppy stickhandler, especially when carrying the puck .. not afraid to block shots.
Martin Lefebvre (2010), D, Quebec
Offensive defenseman that can make a real effective stretch pass .. problem is that he attempts one so often that he becomes predictable .. he also seems to disregard other options that would be just as effective .. not hesitant to pinch in and support his forwards .. rushes his shot from the point at times but when he settles down, he has a nasty wristshot that has some movement .. defensively, he is not very physical but he is a quick skater in all directions .. tends to give up the blueline too easily at times .. needs to improve his reads, especially in terms of playing the angles well - especially considering that he does not play a physical game at all .. missed a few months due to a bout with mono so there are reasons to think that he has a lot of untapped potential in him.
Jason Rajotte (2010), RW, Quebec
Average skater .. willing to cut on the inside hard to make a play but often left vulnerable for a big hit .. choppy skater .. doesn't pick up much speed on his first few strides .. not a very smooth stickhandler .. will not create much offensively, just push the puck forward .. very good work ethic .. always in movement on the ice .. pressures the puckcarrier well .. keeps his stick down and in movement .. energy player who is capable of making life hard for opposing defenders.
