Sundher McColgan Notes

Kevin Sundher (2010), C/LW, Chilliwack:

Talented Surrey born forward must step up his game if he going to be selected in the top three or four rounds .. imaginative passer and playmaker when he's on his game .. will go to the scoring areas .. boasts the rare ability to make a checker look foolish .. Sundher's stride has shown improvement and looks to be getting a bit stronger .. does possess an extra gear .. a regular on the powerplay .. unfortunately for all the positives in his game there are just as many negatives including displaying a bit of lazy streak on occasion, will take the body, yet doesn't punish or intimidate anyone .. really needs to show more determination and the willingness to pay a physical price to make a play .. sports the ability to pick an opponent's pocket on the backcheck, but once again lacks the consistent fire in his belly to do it regularily .. currently second on his team in goals, assists and points. Shane McColgan (2011), RW, Kelowna:

Manhattan Beach, California is currently tied on the Rockets for overall scoring with Tyson Barrie .. a bit undersized, but has time on his side to add some height and muscle .. blessed with an accurate wrist shot .. uses his speed to get in extremely quickly on the forecheck .. needs to get stronger on his skates, especially if he wants to have more in the dirty areas .. usually finds the open spots, but can still get outmuscled when the play gets physical .. very dangerous when he gets time and space, yet once again is too easily neutralized along the wall and in high traffic areas .. boasts the top speed to keep close to the puckcarrier while on the forecheck .. a regular on the powerplay and is tied for second on the team with eight goals .. played on a line with Brandon McMillan and Cody Chikie.
