Skille or Stoa

This decision could be made for NHL head scouts if either player decides not to opt into next summer’s draft.
Dave Fortier of McKeen’s feels that Ryan Stoa and Jack Skille of the NTDP have emerged as bona-fide first-round candidates, each making their debut in our Top 30 this month.

“I would have a tough time deciding which guy to take right now. Stoa is a very dangerous sniper. I’d say he isn’t that far off of Bobby Ryan.”
“Ryan is more of a physical presence and maybe a better playmaker, but Stoa is more balanced and has much better speed. They are comparable overall packages in my opinion.
“Skille is definitely first-round material as well. He’s a real smart player and a great all-around talent. He really has got it all, but in an unflashy sort of way.”
Ryan Stoa is also featured in this month’s HEATING UP section
