SEL: MoDont

We have mixed reviews at best for some of MoDo's top prospects, including the stalling Capitals property Oscar Hedman. However, a pleasure to watch has been the undersized yet brainy centre Elias Bjuhr who is eligible for the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Andreas Molinder (2006), C

Overlooked at the draft last summer and is worth another look .. has really grown over the summer and added a lot of strength to his game .. a silky-smooth skater with an elegant stride .. still has a tendency to avoid traffic sometimes and could be more consistently creative .. shows some great dangle on some shifts but is occasionally static and indecisive .. more defensively responsible .. right now he is captaining MoDo's junior team.

Oscar Hedman (Wsh), D

Struggling to hold on to regular duty with senior MoDo .. skating has improved, specifically his smoothness, making him less of a liability in his own end against speedy forwards .. has not shown much boldness offensively, playing a very conservative game .. would like to see him be more proactive although MoDo is a very defense-minded team.

Johan Dahlberg (Tor), LW

Bigger, stronger but not really any more of a threat offensively than a year ago .. he'll score the hard way, sometimes the dirty way but unfortunately hasn't done enough of that .. should throw his weight around more and just hasn't moved his feet enough and hasn't been driving the net the way expected on him .. has exercised his mouth quite a bit however often complaining about bad calls.

Tobias Forsberg (2006), LW

Looks undersized, although he isn't short .. skinny even for the junior league .. has been a regular on the national team in the last couple of years but isn't a top talent .. quick, deceptive skater without much of a top gear .. hard worker and is competitive but doesn't have enough imagination to really create .. not enough of an agitator to make up for his lack of skill .. reasonably well-coached in his defensive duties.

Elias Bjuhr (2007), C

Smallish but at his age he should still grow .. stands out with creative moves on the very ordinary MoDo juniors .. great wheels and stealthy moves with the puck, squeezing through guys in traffic areas .. a gifted stickhandler who loves to have the puck on his stick and is willing to take a hit to make a play .. quick, smart feet and boundless energy .. shame same can't be said of his teammates.
