QMJHL Players of the Week - Audette, Brouillard and Cupper

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, October 27, 2014 - Daniel Audette, Nikolas Brouillard et Marvin Cüpper were named today, the three stars of the week for October 20 to 26, 2014.
Daniel Audette, forward for the Sherbrooke Phoenix is the first star of the week. In three games, he collected 10 poins including 4 goals. In his first game of the week against the Val-d'Or Foreurs, he registered two assists in a 5-3 victory. Friday, against the Moncton Wildcats, Audette played the best game in his junior career, by recording 6 points, a new team record, in a 6-5 win. He was named the first star with two goals and four assists. Finally, on Sunday against the Gatineau Olympiques, he had two assists in a 6-4 loss. He is now ranked 6th in the league with 26 points, eight behind league leader Alexis Loiseau of the Rimouski Oceanic.

The second star of the week is the Quebec Remparts' defensemen, Nikolas Brouillard. He tallied 4 assists and maintained a +4 rating in 3 road games. He also wasn't on the ice for any of the opponent's even strength goals. In the first of three games in three nights, he scored a goal and added an assist on the game winning goal in overtime for a 5-4 win over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. He added an assist and maintained a +2 rating in a 4-3 win over the Charlottetown Islanders. On Sunday, he recorded another assist in a 3-2 shootout win against the Saint John Sea Dogs.
Shawinigan Cataractes' goaltender, Marvin Cupper, is the third star of the week. He won both games he started keeping a goals against average of 1.92 and save percentage of .926. Wednesday, while his team was outshot 28-21, he held the fort with 27 saves for a 2-1 win against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. Saturday against the Gatineau Olympiques, he made 23 saves, and stopped 4 out of 5 shooters marking the 1,500th win of the Shawinigan franchise since 1969.
