McKeens: When did you start playing hockey?
Wojtek Wolski: I started playing when I was seven years old.
McKeens: Where did you start playing hockey?
Wojtek Wolski: My first team was West Mall, when I was 15 years old I moved to the St.Michael's Buzzers to play Junior A and the next year I started playing for Brampton Battalion in the OHL.
McKeens: Who directed your first hockey steps?
Wojtek Wolski: This was my brother, he guided me in my first years.
McKeens: Did you always play forward?
Wojtek Wolski: No, the first four years of my career I played defense, but after that I moved to the forward position.
McKeens: What is your biggest success in hockey so far?
Wojtek Wolski: I have two individual achievments, I was voted the top rookie of the Junior A league in 2001-2002 and was a member of the 2002-2003 OHL All-Rookie team. I'm also happy that I made the Canadian Under-18 team and played at the 2003 World Junior Cup.
McKeens: Who is your hockey role model?
Wojtek Wolski: I really like the way Mario Lemieux and Ryan Smyth play the game. Lemieux is big and tremendously talented, Smyth is the real hard worker. I enjoy watching them both.
McKeens: Your favorite NHL team?
Wojtek Wolski: Minnesota Wild, I'm also a fan of Wild forward Marian Gaborik and so I cheer for the Wild.
McKeens: Do you have a favorite number you like to wear on your jersey?
Wojtek Wolski: I prefer playing with number 17. Some time ago I had to change my number and just at that time I saw myself as a little guy in Florida on video, where I had a T-shirt with the number 17 on. Therefore I decided that my new number will be 17 and I like it.
McKeens: How would you describe yourself as a player?
Wojtek Wolski: I feel that my strong points are my puckhandling and an ability to score goals and create scoring chances. I have to work on my size, I need to get stronger and bulk up.
McKeens: Have you had any injury in your previous career?
Wojtek Wolski: The only I can remember was a problem with my hip flexor, but it has succesfully healed.
McKeens: What are your goals for the upcoming season?
Wojtek Wolski: Being picked in the first round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft would be great, I have to work hard to achieve this. I simply want to have a good year.
McKeens: What do you do in your free time?
Wojtek Wolski: I like to hang out with my friends or play golf. I still go to a high school, which takes me some time, too. I also like to listen to every kind of music.
McKeens: Do you have a nickname?
Wojtek Wolski: My nickname is Wojy.
McKeens: And your hockey dreams?
Wojtek Wolski: The NHL is my biggest dream, of course.
