presence … loves the big hit and is positionally sound in his own zone
… showed dynamic puck carrying skills with a great shot … a very steady
player for his age, looked poised throughout the game … will over commit
to the hit and displays a need for seasoning to the North American game …
the tools are all there and the attitude is encouraging.
Joel
Kwiatkowski - brings a dynamite shot to the table, able to get it down
low and through traffic … struggles defensively and gets pushed off the
puck in is own zone … must learn to use his good size more effectively.
Antoine
Vermette - a solid centreman with a great combination of skills, physical
play and intelligence … very good on the penalty kill … physical in
the corners, won't back down from hits or get pushed off the puck … puck
control and on-ice vision are noteable … looked very poised and in control
in most situations.
Chris
Bala - hand-eye coordination is superior, evidenced by his top corner
tip-in goal from 15' out on a bullet cross-ice pass from Hnidy … works
hard around the net and won't back down from intimidating defensemen …
excellent overall speed and lateral quickness … positionally sound, knows
how to find space for himself and create an outlet pass for linemates …
a keen nose for the net.
Petr
Schastlivy - A very smooth skater with great speed and excellent lateral
movement … was dynamite on a breakaway opportunity … shifty puckhandling,
Petr winds his way into the offensive zone with ease … looks NHL ready
with his maturing package of skills and quality effort level.
