Carries a wide stance which allows for excellent balance .. extremely long stride, just one step allows for considerable distance .. lacks great first step quickness and acceleration into his top speed .. at full speed, he is above average which is good for his size .. shows impressive potential rushing the puck with his size/speed combo .. showed good instincts in reacting to finding preferred lanes with the puck elusively .. excellent lateral movement, well coordinated making movements cross-ice .. shows a smooth transition from reverse to forwards to lateral .. moves fluidly in reverse .. loves playing the body and can really step into guys with hits .. solid side-to-side movement allows him to stand up rushing opponents on the blueline .. strong kid; strong legs .. makes a very crisp breakout pass, accurately hitting moving targets .. has a tendency to stop skating when making a play out of the zone .. passing in offensive situations is inconsistent .. for every on-the-tape pass, he’ll follow up with a rushed feed .. inconsistent handling the puck, but is very strong and tough to knock off it .. has a tendency to fumble when receiving a pass .. good panic instincts; doesn’t rush decisions when in the process of being checked .. seems very confident hanging on to the puck if a receiver is not open .. possesses an above-average shot power, but has to work on accuracy .. effective on defensive zone coverage .. extremely effective playing man-on-man and uses his massive body to impede space and easily pushes opponents aside .. we are interested in seeing his reaction against bigger, faster players .. generally pretty safe coming out of his end .. has a penchant for blind clearing attempts at times.
