OHL: Scouting Nazem Kadri

McKeen's correspondent Kevin Hopson looks at Kitchener standout Nazem Kadri, who was one of the top assist leaders during the Rangers' playoff run and is a potential first-round pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
Nazem Kadri (2009), C/RW, Kitchener Rangers
Kadri is an energetic player who excels in the offensive end, especially on the man advantage .. he is capable of winning draws and possesses the flexibility to play both center and wing .. a swift skater who shows great hustle and resolve in pursuing the puck .. however, his top speed leaves a little to be desired, as Kadri can sometimes be held up along the boards while making his way through neutral ice .. superior at handling the puck in tight spaces, which is why he is so successful below the hash marks and around the net .. displays creativity with the puck, particularly in the passing game, and utilizes his astute vision to find teammates regardless of where they are on the ice .. though Kadri can put himself in ideal scoring situations, he takes pride in being a quality playmaker and setting up the guys around him.
