OHL Player of the Week - Remi Elie

Toronto, ON - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Dallas Stars prospect Remi Elie of the Erie Otters is the Pioneer Energy OHL Player of the Week for the week ending January 18 with seven points in two games scoring four goals and three assists with a plus-minus rating of plus-5.
Elie becomes the third Otter to claim the award this season after collecting two multi-point games last week helping his club pick up a pair of victories on home ice. On Friday night he scored his first hat-trick of the season with three straight goals including the game-winner while adding an assist as first star of a 7-4 win over the Kingston Frontenacs. Then on Saturday night, Elie scored once and picked up two assists including a helper on Connor McDavid's overtime winner earning second star honours in a 6-5 triumph over the North Bay Battalion. The two wins improve the Otters' record to 31-9-1-2 as they stand second place in the OHL's Western Conference with 65 points.
