OHL Player of the Week - Mitch Marner

Toronto, ON - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that 2015 NHL Draft prospect Mitch Marner of the London Knights is the Pioneer Energy OHL Player of the Week for the week ending November 2 after recording nine points in three games scoring seven goals and two assists with a plus-minus rating of plus-7.
Marner collected a trio of three-point games last week including back-to-back hat-tricks helping the Knights win all three contests in three straight days. On Friday night, Marner scored a goal with two assists as part of an 8-5 home win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. On Saturday night Marner recorded his first career hat-trick including the game-winner as first star of a 4-3 road win over the Windsor Spitfires, then netted another hat-trick Sunday also claiming first star honours in a 7-2 home win against the Sudbury Wolves. Sunday's win gives the Knights a six-game winning-streak boosting them into a second place tie in the Midwest Division with 20 points.
