Great hand-eye coordination .. can execute in traffic with nifty stickhandling moves .. can win the draw cleanly and easily .. generates speed with long strides .. always keeps feet moving, creating outlets for teammates and utilizing his speed by getting a jump on the opposition .. takes his man with authority and can be a nuisance physically at times .. tries to pick pocket at times but recovers nicely enough .. simple but effective defensively .. can play the body and tie up a stick .. attacks the net often.
Michael Blunden (2005) RW, Erie
Skates with a hunched over style .. uses stick and arms to generate top speed .. not as physical as in some previous viewings which is disappointing .. skill level is above average and he can get more out of it than most because he's determined around the crease and will score goals the dirty way .. generates good power on the slap shot and wrist shot which he can get off really quickly .. can be a threat every time he's on the ice but he consistently overshadowed by teammate O'Marra.
Brett MacLean (2007) RW, Erie
Plays bigger than size would suggest .. bullied through two Storm players to gain the line and kept his feet moving .. overall skating skills are rather weak .. crossovers need work to generate top flight speed .. a little out of place defensively at times .. drove the net with intensity .. soft hands and has the potential to finish (61 goals in 59 games in minor midget).
