OHL: Big Shoes To Fill For Perry

Adam Perry watched from the bench last spring, as his older brother Corey led the London Knights to the Memorial Cup championship. This season, the younger Perry has taken over an important offensive role on the club and we have an early review. Also reviewed is a trio of Oshawa Generals players in Brad Pawlowski, Dale Mitchell and Jesse Biduke.
Adam Perry (2006), C, London

Not in his older brother's (Corey) league .. plays a similar type of game but is considerably less dynamic .. has climbed up to the top PP unit, beating out established vets Kell and Beaulieu for the spot .. hard worker is adept at cycling the puck .. strong and resilient along the boards .. drives the net hard and parks himself in front .. not particularly graceful without particular finesse; a bit raw and awkward but has the hands to finish at this level .. skating is decent enough, as he has good fundamentals and keeps his knees relatively bent for maximum stride.
Brad Pawlowski (2007), D, Oshawa
Injuries on the blueline mean that he is being asked to step up .. rookie is starting to log considerable minutes but does not yet appear to be ready, as he is prone to many mistakes .. needs to be quicker in his decision making, especially when with in possession of the puck in his own end .. slight hesitation moves seem to hurt him, as quick guys rob him blind .. stands up too high when skating and looks awkward in the process, not generating particularly good speed .. has to get stronger on the puck .. offensive imagination leaves some to be desired .. tough competitor and added some weight in the off-season .. no-nonsense and can fight.
Dale Mitchell (2007), RW, Oshawa
Small forward who can skate .. quick and slippery though he could improve his extra gear .. good linemates have padded his offensive totals somewhat .. can create his own chances and works hard .. although lacking in size, he earns every inch of his ice with sheer determination .. quick hands and can stickhandle in-close .. looks like a capable OHLer, but has to grow vertically and horizontally to be recognized as a legitimate NHL prospect.
Jesse Biduke (2006), C, LW, Oshawa
Permanent on a line with Clutterbuck and Tavares .. decent size and good puck protection skills on his way to the net .. shows creativity, especially behind the net, exhibiting patience and smarts .. finishes checks and works hard in the corners .. role is to dig out loose pucks and set up the star Tavares .. average skater but is strong on his skates and his top speed is improving .. has to recognize shooting lanes a bit better, sometimes neglecting prime scoring positions.
