Mueller Signs WHL Contract with Silvertips

Everett, WA – July 7th, 2005: Peter Mueller, the Everett Silvertips 2nd Round Selection (21st Overall) in the 2003 WHL Bantam Draft will play for the Everett Silvertips in the upcoming 2005-2006 season after signing a Western Hockey League Agreement with the Everett Silvertips Hockey Club earlier today.

The Bloomington, Minnesota resident recently won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2005 Under-18 World Championships this past spring. Mueller finished 5th in the tournament in scoring with 4 goals and 3 assists in 6 games. During the 2004-2005 season with the United States Under-18 National Team Development Program, Mueller posted 34 goals and added 35 assists for 69 points in 50 games. The 6'2", 200 pound forward has also earned a tryout with the United States World Junior National Team which will play in the 2006 World Junior Championships in Vancouver, BC after the Christmas holiday.

Mueller will now join the rest of the 2003 Everett Silvertips draft class with Zach Hamill, Brady Calla, Taylor Ellington, Leland Irving, Jonathan Harty, Zach Sim, Brennan Zasitko and Graham Potuer which made major contributions to the Silvertips in the 2004-2005 season. The Everett Silvertips will begin their third Western Hockey League season in September.
