Middleton added to 2014 CHL Top Prospects Game

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that defenceman Jacob Middleton of the Ottawa 67's will compete for Team Cherry at the BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game hosted by the WHL's Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday January 15, 2014.
A 17-year-old from Stratford, ON, Middleton is playing in his second OHL season after being chosen eighth overall by the Owen Sound Attack in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. In his first full season with the 67's, Middleton has one goal and eight assists for nine points in 31 games. Middleton follows 67's grad Sean Monahan who participated in the event last season before becoming the sixth overall pick of the Calgary Flames where he is currently enjoying a standout rookie campaign.
Middleton replaces defenceman Nelson Nogier of the Saskatoon Blades who is unable to compete due to recent injury.
