Meier, Carrier and Chabot named the three stars of the week

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, March 7th, 2016 – Timo Meier, Alexandre Carrier and Thomas Chabot were named today the three stars of the week for February 29 to March 6, 2016.

Forward for the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, Timo Meier is the first star of the week.

The San Jose Sharks’ prospect scored 6 goals, added 5 assists and had a +4 rating in 4 road games. He scored 3 game-winning goals, had 3 points in three games and was named the 1st star of the game three times. He scored a hat trick in a 7-1 victory over the Victoriaville Tigres. Sunday against the Sherbrooke Phoenix he scored his 30th goal of the season while adding 2 assists in a 7-1 win. He now has 76 points on the season.

Alexandre Carrier,Gatineau Olympiques defenceman, is the second star. In three games, he recorded 9 points with 3 goals, while having a +/- of +6. On Thursday in an 8-2 victory over the Chicoutimi Saguenéens, he scored one goal, added 4 assists for a personal high 5 points in a single game. He added 2 more assists on Saturday against the Victoriaville Tigres in a 4-1 win. In 54 games this season, he has 45 points and a +22 rating.

Saint John Sea Dogs’ defenceman, Thomas Chabot is the third star of the week. He scored one goal and added 6 assists in four games this week. On Thursday, when the Sea Dogs hosted the Drummondville Voltigeurs, the Ottawa Senators’ propect assisted on three of his team’s 4 goals in a 4-1 victory. He almost has a point per game average this season with 41 points in 42 games.
