We are proud to release to our subscribers the most comprehensive McKeen's
Draft Update yet.

This month's edition includes writeups and updates on 50 draft-eligible
prospects, as well as the return of our popular draft
rankings by country and league. The lists rank more than 400 players,
including 'Top 40' lists for each of the CHL leagues, the NCAA, US junior and
Russia.
We sensed that it was only a matter of time before Lewiston's sparkplug Alexandre
Picard entered our top 10 and he is January's newest addition to the
group. In the annual Top Prospects game, Picard only confirmed what we saw from
him the whole year - plenty of spunk, creativity and grit.
Among our biggest risers is the no-nonsense Mike
Green. Saskatoon's multi-talented rearguard has been a consistent two-way
force on the Blades' backline all season, and was a big hit at the 'Top Prospects'
game. Making a rise as humongous as his stature, Kitchener's big and mean Boris
Valabik is taking considerable strides towards the first round. We have
been consistently impressed with his defensive poise and hard-nosed approach.
Our monthly newsletter touches a plethora of subjects including our apprehensions
with the performance of Ladislav
Smid at the World Juniors, our thoughts on one of the draft's biggest
wildcards, Cory
Schneider, and why we refuse to join in on the Robbie
Schremp-bashing clique.
We feature our reflections on the Viking Cup, provide exclusive low-downs on
Enver
Lisin and the 2005-eligible Gilbert
Brule, along with additional names that are in the news for the right
and the wrong reasons.
