Joffrey Lupul - WHL Player of the Week

Calgary - The Western Hockey League Player of the Week is forward Joffrey Lupul of the Medicine Hat Tigers. Lupul earned player of the week honours by recording six goals and nine points, including three multi-goal games, during the week of February 3rd to February 9th. Lupul’s performance helped lead the Tigers to a 2-0-0-1 record for the week.
On Tuesday, February 4th, Lupul registered two goals and one assist in a 10-3 home victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes. On Friday, February 7th, Lupul scored two goals in a 5-4 overtime loss to the visiting Swift Current Broncos.

On Saturday, February 8th, Lupul recorded two goals and two assists in a 9-2 win against the visiting Kootenay Ice.
Lupul, a 19-year-old from Edmonton, Alberta, was drafted in the 1st round, 7th overall, by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
