Hennessy Fleury - QMJHL Players of the Week

The Québec Major Junior Hockey League announced its last offensive and defensive players of the week selected for the period of Monday, March 10 to Tuesday March 18, 2003.
Left centre player of the Québec Remparts, Josh Hennessy, is the last offensive player of the week for the 2002-2003 regular season in the QMJHL. Hennessy, who is from Rockland, Massachusetts, scored 6 goals and added 5 assists for 11 points in 4 games and +6.

In a 7-3 victory over the Chicoutimi Saguenéens on March 12, he participated to 5 of the 7 goals scored by his team: he scored 3 goals and got 2 assists. In a 5-0 victory over the Saguenéens in Chicoutimi on Friday March 14, he got 1 goal and 1 assist. On Saturday March 15, in a lost of 5-3 to the Baie-Comeau Drakkar before a big total of 15 002 spectators at the Pepsi Coliseum, Hennessy obtained 2 assists. On Tuesday March 18, last day of the regular season, Josh scored 2 goals, his 32 and 33rd goals of the 2002-2003 season.
Finally, Josh Hennessy end the season at the 2nd rank of the scorers of his team, with 84 points in 72 games. He didn’t miss any game. With their 3 last wins, the Remparts end the season at the 4th rank of the Frank-Dilio Conference.

Goaltender of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, Marc-André Fleury, is the best defensive player of the week in the QMJHL. In 2 games, he got one win, one tie and preserved a 1.92 goals-against average and a .955 save percentage.
In a 4-2 victory last Sunday at the 200 Centre in Sydney, Marc-André did 39 saves. On Tuesday March 18, the Eagles played in Halifax before 9973 spectators at the Metro Centre. The talented and likeable goalie from Sorel did 46 saves in a tie of 2-2.
Finally, Marc-André Fleury end the season with a total of 1801 shots received in 51 games. He is the goaltender who received the most shots in the QMJHL with an average of 37,4 shots per game.
