BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, March 14, 2016 – Conor Garland, Daniel Sprong and Frédéric Allard were named today the three stars of the week for March 7 to 13, 2016.

Moncton Wildcats forward, Conor Garland, is the first star of the week. He scored 2 goals, added 5 assists and maintained a +4 rating in 3 games last week. On March 11, against the Halifax Mooseheads, he recorded his 10th 4 point game of the season and was named the first star in a 6-2 victory, which was a good way of celebrating his birthday. In his next game, Garland got an assist but most importantly, he tied Sébastien Roger for most lifetime points as a Wildcat. With 2 games left in the regular season, he has a good chance of beating the record. He now has a total of 126 points this season.

Charlottetown Islanders right-winger, Daniel Sprong, is the second star. In two games he set-up his teammates 6 times. Against the division leaders on Friday, he recorded his 3rd four-point game in the QMJHL as the Islanders beat the Sea Dogs 5-3. He reached the 200 lifetime points milestone on Saturday with 2 more assists in a 6-2 win over the Halifax Mooseheads. Since coming back from the Pittsburgh Penguins, Sprong has collected 44 points in 31 games.

Chicoutimi Saguenéens’ defenceman, Frederic Allard, is the third star of the week. He recorded 6 points; all of them assists, and maintained a +/- of +5 in three games. He participated in all of his teams’ goals on Thursday as the Saguenéens beat the Québec Remparts 4-2. This was his first 4-point game in the QMJHL. He now has 59 points in 63 games, which brings him second place in defencemen scoring.
