Draft Profiles: Ryan Donally Brad Richardson

Ryan Donally Windsor
Spitfires

The 13th rated OHL prospect in the Central Scouting Bureau’s recent preliminary
rankings.
A powerful player, Donally is a excellent hitter and solid physical presence.
Usually sets the tempo with his run around, ”bang and crash” type
of style. A very well balanced skater with decent speed for a big man. A hardworker
and a relentless forechecker Ryan is a good guy to have out there in the penalty
kill. Ryan is extremely raw in terms of offensive talent, except for his established
stickhandling skills. Has a very long reach which he uses to maneuver the puck
around opponents and if used on the powerplay, his reach and size could be very
valuable when standing in front of the net.
A project, but his speed, size and strength make him a projected checking forward
with significant offensive potential.
Brad Richardson,
Owen Sound Attack
Was ranked 24th overall amongst 2003 eligible OHL players in the Central Scouting
Bureau’s preliminary rankings.
A pint-sized, playmaking energizer who uses his size effectively, Richardson
is one of the main leaders in the Attack’s depleted offense. A hard working
player, who uses his speed and work ethic effectively. A very intelligent player,
Brad always keeps a good position in both zones. An effective faceoff man, he
is used in all situations. Brad has good vision and excellent passing skills
although he could use some work on his shot.
Could develop into a solid 2-way forward with time.
