Czech Future Watch: Doskocil Skilled

The system of the Kladno club is bolstered by a strong cast of 1992-born talent. The player making the biggest recent splash is forward Jakub Doskocil, a right winger with the ninth grade team.
Doskocil passed on playing against his peers on the 8th grade level and was promoted to play against older competition, a reality of life through much of his young playing career.

An offensively-focused winger, Doskocil takes advantage of his smooth array of skills to emerge as a potential sniper. His quick bursts of speed and offensive instincts around the net enable him be lethal on scoring chances. Often the coaching staff deploy him strictly as a breakaway player who, once the puck reaches his stick, explodes into an offensive dynamo.
There's no denying that Doskocil is talented enough to win games. However, on the downside, he is just as likely to cost his team. Not only is he prone to overfixating on offense, he also falls prey to harmful mistakes on the defensive side.
Not the hardest worker off the puck, Doskocil needs to be lined up alongside a hardworking forward who will do the dirty work and little things for him, specifically get him the puck.
But there is still plenty of time for him to learn that the ice surface is made with two ends.
Doskocil's special scoring ability gives him an edge over his peers at this point, and he has already proven himself on the international stage, having been among the best performers of the Czech team that took part in the International Pee-Wee tournament in Quebec City last February.
