CHL Player of the Week - Jeremy Gregoire

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Montreal Canadiens prospect Jeremy Gregoire of the Baie-Comeau Drakkar is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending January 25 after recording eight points in two games scoring three goals and five assists with a plus-minus rating of plus-3.
Grégoire led the Drakkar to a pair of home victories over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies to extend the club's winning-streak to five games as they hold onto fourth place in the QMJHL overall standings. On Saturday night Grégoire scored once with two assists and was named second star of a 6-1 victory, then set a career-high on Sunday with five points including two goals and three assists as first star of the 6-3 win.

Grégoire, a 19-year-old from Sherbrooke, QC, is playing in his fourth QMJHL season and third with the Drakkar after beginning his career with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in 2011. Selected by the Canadiens in the sixth round of the 2013 NHL Draft, injuries have limited Grégoire to just 13 games played so far this season since December 28 where he has collected 19 points.
Also considered for the award this week was Philadelphia Flyers prospect Tyrell Goulbourne of the Kelowna Rockets who scored three goals and four assists for seven points in two games, and Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Anthony DeAngelo of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds who recorded seven assists in three games.
