CHL Player of the Week honours go to Ward

The Canadian Hockey League Player of the Week for the week ending November 24 is goaltender Cam Ward of the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League. Each week during the regular season the CHL selects a player of the week from the Players of the Week from each of its three member leagues.

Ward, selected in the first round, 25th overall, of the 2002 National Hockey League Entry Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes, allowed just two goals last week as he recorded three wins and posted back to back shutouts. Ward leads the WHL with 18 wins and his 1.98 goals against average and .928 save percentage are also league-leading numbers.
