CHL Player of the Week - Brandon Magee

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Brandon Magee of the Victoria Royals is the CHL Player of the Week for the first week of playoff action ending March 29 after scoring five goals and one assist for six points in two games with a plus-minus rating of plus-5.
Magee's back-to-back multi-point games helped the Royals take a 2-0 series lead against the Prince George Cougars in the Western Conference Quarter-Finals. Magee earned first star honours twice and scored the game-winner in both contests. On Friday night in Game 1 he tallied his first career playoff hat-trick and added an assist in the 5-3 victory, then netted two goals on Saturday in Game 2's 5-4 win. The series continues in Prince George on Wednesday and Thursday night.

Magee, a 21-year-old from Edmonton, AB, is playing in his fifth career WHL season. The overage forward collected 23 goals and 38 assists for 61 points in just 50 games this season finishing his final WHL campaign with 264 points in 318 regular season contests.
Also considered for the award this week was 2015 NHL Draft prospect Dante Salituro of the Ottawa 67's who scored four goals and three assists for seven points in two games helping his club take a 2-0 series lead against the Niagara IceDogs. In the QMJHL, Minnesota Wild prospect Dylan Labbe picked up four assists in two games for the Shawinigan Cataractes who split the first two games of their opening round series against the Halifax Mooseheads.
