CHL Goaltender of the Week - Landon Bow

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Landon Bow of the Swift Current Broncos is the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week after posting a 2-1-0-0 record including two shutout victories with a goals-against-average of 1.00 and save percentage of .961 for the week ending October 12.
Bow posted back-to-back shutout victories over the weekend helping the Broncos earn four points in three games in the WHL's East Division where they currently sit in second place with 12 points. On Friday night he stopped all 26 shots he faced earning third star honours in a 5-0 shutout victory over the Kootenay Ice, then had a 25-save performance on Saturday as second star of a 2-0 shutout victory over the Tri-City Americans. His week also included a 22-save effort last Tuesday in a 4-0 loss to the top ranked Kelowna Rockets.

Bow, a 19-year-old from St. Albert, AB, is playing in his third WHL season with the Broncos. So far this season he carries a 6-4-0-0 record with three shutouts along with a 2.14 goals-against-average and a .934 save percentage after posting a 13-5-2-1 record last season with a 3.12 goals-against-average and a .901 save percentage.
Also considered for the award this week was Sebastien Auger of the Saint John Sea Dogs who won twice with a goals-against-average of 1.50 and save percentage of .956, and rookie [db]Joseph Raaymakers[/db] of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds who recorded a 31-save shutout in his first career game on Sunday as first star of a 5-0 victory over the London Knights.
