CHL Goaltender of the Week - Adin Hill

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Arizona Coyotes prospect Adin Hill of the Portland Winterhawks is the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week after posting a 3-0-0-0 record with two shutout victories along with a goals-against-average of 1.33 and save percentage of .966.
Hill stopped an impressive 114 shots in three games last week for the Winterhawks who climb into a tie for second place in the WHL's U.S Division standings following their three straight wins. He turned aside all 31 shots he faced on Friday earning first star honours in a 2-0 road win against the Everett Silvertips, then made 38 saves on Saturday helping the Winterhawks hold on to a 5-4 win over the Tri-City Americans. The highlight of his week was on Sunday making a season-high 45 saves for his third shutout of the season as first star of a 5-0 win against the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Hill, a 19-year-old from Calgary, AB, is playing in his second full WHL season with the Winterhawks. Selected by the Coyotes in the third round of the 2015 NHL Draft, Hill currently carries a 5-4-0-0 record with a goals-against-average of 2.13 and save percentage of .937. Hill was also recently added to the Team WHL roster for the 2015 CHL Canada Russia Series November 9 and 10 in Kelowna and Kamloops, BC.
Also considered for the award this week was rookie Mathieu Bellemare of the Gatineau Olympiques who posted a 2-0-0-0 record including a shutout victory with a goals-against-average of 0.50 and save percentage of .974, and Lucas Peressini of the Kingston Frontenacs with a 2-0-0-0 record posting a goals-against-average of 1.98 and save percentage of .935.
