CHL Goalie of the Week - Lucas Peressini

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Lucas Peressini of the Kingston Frontenacs is the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending November 16 after posting a 1-0-0-1 record including a shutout victory with a goals-against-average of 0.96 and save percentage of .967.
Peressini made 58 saves in two starts last week between the pipes for the Frontenacs highlighted by his second career shutout on Friday night against the Guelph Storm. In that contest Peressini made 34 saves and was named first star of the 5-0 victory. His week also included a 24-save performance on Wednesday in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Belleville Bulls.

Peressini, a 19-year-old from Nobleton, ON, is playing in his second full season with the Frontenacs. So far this season he holds a 9-4-0-2 record with a goals-against-average of 2.18 that ranks second in the OHL, and a save percentage of .926 which is third best in the league.
Also considered for the award this week was Rylan Toth of the Red Deer Rebels who posted a 2-0-0-0 record with a goals-against-average of 1.50 and save percentage of .940, while Calgary Flames prospect Mason McDonald of the Charlottetown Islanders went 2-0-0-0 with a goals-against-average of 1.00 and save percentage of .962.
