Canadian Hockey League All-Stars Announced
The Canadian Hockey League announced on Monday its All-Star Teams for the 2001-2002
CHL season.

The CHL annually selects an All-Star Team from its three member leagues - the
Ontario Hockey League, the Western Hockey League and the Quebec Major Junior
Hockey League. In addition, an All-Rookie CHL All-Star Team is announced.
All teams are selected by the National Hockey League's Central Scouting Department.
The OHL led the way on the CHL All-Stars this year, with eight of the 18 spots
on the three teams filled by OHL players. The WHL had six players selected,
while four players were chosen from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey
League.
Among those selected on the First All-Star Team were Bauer/Nike CHL Player
of the Year Pierre-Marc Bouchard of the Chicoutimi Sagueneens of the QMJHL.
Bouchard was the first round draft pick of the Minnesota Wild and the eighth
overall pick of the NHL Entry Draft on Saturday.
Joining him on the first team was Joffrey Lupul of the Medicine Hat Tigers
of the WHL, who was selected seventh overall by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim
in Saturday's NHL draft. Completing the First team forward line is Nathan
Robinson of the Belleville Bulls, the OHL's scoring champion.
The First Team goalie is Sault Ste. Marie (OHL) Greyhounds' Ray Emery. The
defence pair is Dan Hamhuis of Prince George of the WHL, a member of Canada's
national junior program, and Danny Groulx of the Victoriaville Tigres, the QMJHL
champions and Memorial Cup runners-up.
