Canada cuts Chartier, Dal Colle, Dickinson, Fleury

TORONTO, Ont. - Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Hockey League, announced Friday roster changes for Canada's National Junior Team ahead of the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.
The following four players will be returning to their club teams immediately: Rourke Chartier (Saskatoon, Sask./Kelowna, WHL), Michael Dal Colle (Vaughan, Ont./Oshawa, OHL), Jason Dickinson (Georgetown, Ont./Guelph, OHL) and Haydn Fleury (Carlyle, Sask./Red Deer, WHL).

Canada's roster is now at 22 players, the maximum allowed for the IIHF World Junior Championship, including two goaltenders, seven defencemen and 13 forwards.
Canada's final roster for the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship, which will take place from Dec. 26, 2014 to Jan. 5, 2015 in Toronto and Montreal, will be officially submitted on Dec. 25.
There will be a general media availability with Canada's National Junior Team on Saturday, Dec. 20, at the MasterCard Centre (Rink 3), at approximately 11:15 a.m. ET, prior to the team departing for Ottawa, Ont.
Earlier Friday, Canada dropped a 2-1 overtime decision Russia at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ont., in the opener of the RBC Road to the World Juniors. Josh Morrissey (Calgary, Alta./Kelowna, WHL) had the lone goal for the Canadians, who outshot Russia 53-20.
Prior to the IIHF World Junior Championship, Canada will play two additional pre-tournament games as part of the RBC Road to the World Juniors, on Dec. 21 vs. Sweden in Ottawa and Dec. 23 vs. Switzerland in Montreal. Ticket information for both games is available at www.hockeycanada.ca/2015juniors.
