Beau Bennett Joey Laleggia Notes

Beau Bennett (2010), RW, Penticton:
American born winger is still maturing physically and must get stronger .. skating technique is good, but must add strength and speed to his stride .. skates effortlessly in all directions .. not known for quick starts to his game as he seems to get better as the game goes on .. sees a ton of ice time on the Vees' top line with Alex Szczechura and centered by Denver Manderson.. uses his stick and body positioning to close down passing and shooting lanes .. fairly solid on his skates .. displays nice vision and can find the open man with a crisp, tape-to-tape pass .. boasts a hard one timer that he gets away cleanly .. reads the play very well .. supports the puck carrier .. is far from dominate physically, but handles his business fine in high traffic areas .. sports the ability to get open at the right time .. possesses good elusiveness in order to avoid big hits .. uses his body to protect the puck .. not only can create time and space for himself, but his teammates as well .. plays on the powerplay .. represented the USA at the 2009 World Junior A tournament. Joey Laleggia (2010), D, Penticton:
At first glance he appears a bit fragile .. great wheels and mobility is pro-calibre .. looks like a kid when beside his defensive partner Luke Curadi .. participated at the 2009 World Junior A .. his speed allows him more space and time .. a player best suited to mature physically in college before making an attempt at the pros .. does a decent job playing the man thanks to his ability to cut down time and space .. delivers the first pass smoothly and leading the player .. plays on the powerplay.
